    For Christian? None of the above I’m afraid. Alex Pettyfer is too young, he could be a good Ethan. Matthew Mc is too old, Channing Tatum too wooden and Joe M, although gorgeous just doesn’t look right for Christian.
    Now I know many of you are Mat Bomer fans. I agree he can really work a suit but Hollywood can be very conservative about sexual matters and there is no way that the producers will take the risk of casting a gay man as Christian Grey. It’s sad that they think this way but its the reality.

    For me it’s Matt, from the beginning and he still is ! It would be a shame if he was not getting the part because he is gay! I don’t mind that he is! It is terrible to think that in 2013 we have not gotten over this! He is an actor for …. sake! Maybe the filmpeople should go for an unknown actor to avoid problems. But still, it makes me mad……

      I agree, Janien. It’s absurd that Hollywood is so conservative. I’m sure that there are quite a few gay actors who do not ‘come out’ because they know that they will never be cast in leading man roles again.

    Totally agree with you Janien. It would be a shame if the reason for him missing the part is the gay factor. It should be irrelevant. Like you said.. Its all acting . And for the age factor… I start to think that if they are to have a young actor playing CG and Ana it would be like a teenager movie when in reality its strictly mature audience only.

    Regardless the age stated in the book.. Its their kove story and depth of their background that hooked us and CG and Ana actually more mature than their stated age. Matt playing CG would be more believable potraying CEO with dark past than let say,,, ED Westwick or Chase who might look good and fit the age but its just going to be a movie version of gossip girl or disney movie (i love Ed westwick btw.. Lol)
    Its just different effect if younger actors to play the part. I dunno … Its a personal opinion. Hhah dont shoot me,please!

    My Christian Grey is definitely Matt Bomer. However, I have a feeling that EL James will not choose someone well known for the part, maybe a lesser known actor but still a good one. Matt Bomer is my choice and I have not wavered from him, but I would still go to see the film if someone else was chosen as Christian.

    Sorry folks, but apart from the fact that Matt is too old, he is also, way too short! They rarely film him standing next to his co star on, White Collar. If they walk together outside, Matt wears a hat. I don’t know that I would watch the movie anyway. I think they would have to leave so much of the story off the screen. We all know, the only Christian Grey is the one in our head!
