Boston

Just wanted to put in my 50c worth regarding the explosions in Boston today. How very sad that we still live in a world where some people feel so strongly about the message they want to convey that they feel violence is an appropriate means to express it! Where is the love? I’m so sorry for all the American readers and writers on here going through that senseless tragedy 😦

Thank you Monique. Live just outside of Boston. It’s easier to say Boston is my home town. Wish I could post some images to show your followers the beauty of Boston. Yesterday was a holiday celebrating Patriot’s Day (Battle of Lexington/Concord).The Boston Marathon is always on Patriot’s Day. There were approximately 23,000 runners. Our beloved Red Soxs played an11a game. Fenway is a few blocks from the Boston Marathon route. It’s school vacation week so many, many more people attended, as well as out-of-state/country friends and families swell the crowds along the marathon route. Thank God for the first responders and the fact that Boston has the best hospitals.

Thanks for mentioning this, Monique — it was thoughtful of you. I hope that the folks in Boston know that people in the rest of the country (and others around the world) are thinking of them.

The City of Boston is a very special city to Americans, it is the home of Independence Hall, Paul Reveres ride crying the British are coming and of course The Boston Tea Party.
This is a hateful crime against all mankind. I watch the news this morning and I was moved to tears. A 8 year died, people have been maimed and lost limbs… Legs.
But we Americans are resilient people and we will move past this crime but we will not forget.
God Bless those who have lost loved one and are suffering physical and in their heart and soul .
    God Bless America!

It is so sad that this has happened – what happened to sitting and talking about issues – and that the emotion from this can be felt even way down here at the bottom of the world Everyone is outraged as well as sad for the victims – such a powerful emotion and depth of feeling
