Between the covers book club

Hello ladies!

I’m hoping that you’ve had a good weekend. The response to the article and subsequent chapter has been awesome.

Thank you so much for embracing the idea of a guest writer on the blog, and making her feel so very welcome.

To Sasha Cameron, GQ reporter extraordinaire:

awesome

Thank you for agreeing to feature on my blog and making a success of a potentially tricky interview! 😉

This week I read:

bs1

Beautiful Stranger by Christine Lauren. I loved it, more than Beautiful bastard. I felt it had more meat on the story, it was a great read.

Currently I’m reading:

Tangled

Tangled by Emma Chase. As predicted by so many of you, it’s awesome! So funny, and so far, a fantastic read for in between those heavy book hangovers. I also love that it’s written from the male’s point of view.

On my shelf I have:

lo

Lock Out by Maya Cross, thanks to my generous friend Audrey! This is book two in the Alpha Group series, and even though they are quite short, I really enjoyed the first one. I love when I can see where a story is going….

Some FSOG movie news is that A DIRECTOR HAS BEEN CHOSEN!!!!! Sam Taylor-Johnson can “gracefully showcase complex emotions” according the Producer ,Michael De Luca. Read more on E L James’s site:

http://blog.eljamesauthor.com/?p=677

She seems like a good choice. I must say that I like their thinking in that they are taking the emotional aspect of FSOG seriously.

Our Brazilian ladies are working double time, I’ve just had the pleasure of posting three more chapters in Portuguese, Chapters 8, 9 and 10. Thank you ladies!

Happy reading!

I like Beautiful Stranger better too and thought there was more of a storyline there. And, who wouldn’t love Max?
I LOVED Tangled. Really some laugh out loud moments. I wanted to hold Drew and comfort him yet also wanted to bang his head against the wall and say – you did not just do that! LOL
And little Mackenzie? – gotta love her. After you’re done with the book, Emma’s Chase has a few extra outtakes out there. Read them, they’re hysterical!!

Read “Tangled” in one day and it was hilarious…LOVE Drew Evans and I felt the same way you did – wanted to hold him and then slap him (and not in a sexual way 😉 – LOVED that it was written from his POV, too. I understand there is more on the way for Kate and Drew, too. Looking forward to it – read and enjoy this one!

I had a very divers readingweek, thrillers, and a book from L.Marie Adeline, S.E.C.R.E.T. I did like it very much, it was funny and interesting to read about a woman exploring her ‘innerself’ in all possible ways. There is a part 2 coming I believe.
Monique, thank you for the link, so sweet of you! I can use all sorts of help! I will be writing in Dutch…….
But you can read Dutch, maybe later I will let you read some thing………. If I dare. Xxxxx Janien

Oh good! You’re welcome for the link, I’ll still have to use the translation tool, the one and only Dutch book I have read was in the last year of high school!! Koning van Katoren (or something like that!) I would love to see. The pity would be to loose something in translation!! 😦 Go for it!!! 😉

It really was a joy to read Sasha’s interview with Christian and Ana.
I finished Entwined with You, although I enjoyed reading it I was left wanting more and felt as if something was missing from the book. I shall still buy the next book though, I have to find out how it all ends.
I went off my usual style books and read Danielle Steel’s Echoes, it starts at World War 1 and ends after World War 2. It is about a young girl who is a Catholic becomes a nun and then finds out her mother was Jewish. It was a good book and I like those kind of stories as well.
I bought The Submissive by Tara Sue Me and it is like FSOG but with different names. I did not realise that it was a trilogy so I will have another two books to buy, I have a list a mile long of books yet to be published. The other two books are called The Dominant and The Training. This book was another very good read.

Hi Sheila. Thank you for sharing. I read the first one in the Submissive series, it also used to be fan fiction before it got published. I was not enthralled, the characters lacked that draw as far as I’m concerned but a good read if like you say you;re looking for something similar to FSOG thought the BDSM had a little more bite to it.

I too read Tangled thanks to everyone that suggested it last week. So funny…a must read 🙂 On my shelf to read…Maya Banks fruit series and a bunch of books by Sopie Kinsella…lol Someone recommended them last week and I couldn’t decide which ones to get, so I bought about 6 of them. My to read list is getting out of control. All of my preorders are coming in from every direction, I’ve forgotten what I’ve ordered.;) Again, I got my list from this blog and they’ve all been good. Good thing school is out and I have the summer to read…shhhh I shouldn’t say that out loud cuz I’m sure there is something more productive out there to do….I read S.E.C.R.E.T a while back too and liked it but was thrown by the cliffie. Hopefully book 2 will be out soon. Nine more days until This Man Confessed! 😉 😉 😉

LOL! Sshhh, is right!!! Keep your head down and behind a book, maybe no one will notice that you’re taking it easy!! 😉 I used to love Sophie Kinsella! Especially the Shopoholic series, thought I do sometimes want to club that woman over the head! She get’s into trouble!! Oh my! Just note lovely ladies that these books are squeaky clean. If you’re looking for something racier, this is not the read for you! 😉

Tangled is great, love it from a male pov. Is there a particular order to the Beautiful series? Beautifully damaged by LA Fiore is really good too… Has a storyline and a beautiful fighter 🙂

I read Officer Off Limits by Tessa Bailey which was very good; I had really liked her other 2 books too. I was short on reading time this week, so I ended up reading 3 Lynda Chance novellas which were ok…wouldn’t make my reread list. Next: Savor Me by Emily Snow 🙂

    Hey everyone 🙂

I started my week off with Tie Me by Olivia Cunning from the One Night with Sole Regret series. Kellen’s story was beautifully told and I loved it, as I do all things Olivia 🙂

I finally read my first Kristen Ashley book called Knight and LOVED it. A very strong alpha male called Knight Sebring who meets Anya and brings her to heal. So he is very dominant and damn sexy 🙂

Then I read the first two books in a series called Remember When by T Torrest which is set in 1991 for book one and that last year in high school and first love. Book two is 10 years later and reconnecting with that first love, I really enjoyed these 🙂

I am currently completely absorbed in Sempre by JR Darhower and LOVING this book. It’s quite long so will take a few days to read which is kind of refreshing to read such a meaty sized book. It is a story about a young couple called Carmine & Haven. It is centred around the Italian Mafia, human trafficking and is a fascinating story.

I also re-read The Perfect Game by JR Sterling in preparation for Jack Fn Carter’s return in 2 more sleeps, woo hoo! The Game Changer 🙂

Also planning on reading Safeword by Teresa Mummert and Ambrosia by Erin Noelle.

And I too am excited about inviting Jesse Ward back into my bedroom and I so want to see Sarah get her come uppance!

Have a great week everyone 🙂
