Between the covers book club

Hello Ladies!

I hope you’ve had a lovely week and looking forward to a little bit of Jesse Ward coming up! Is anyone aware of why we can’t pre-order This Man Confessed from anywhere? I would hate to miss the moment of release! 😉

book club

I was really looking forward to reading more on my holiday but so far, I’ve failed miserably!

This week I read:

lo

Lockout by Maya Cross, book two in the Alpha Group series. I’ve said it before, I dislike how short they are, in fact, I believe they were meant to be single book instead of a series of three, but I do like them. I think they are a refreshing take on the FSOG theme without feeling like a poor copy.

On my shelf (I WISH I HAD)……

Tm

This Man Confessed by Jodie Ellen Malpas, book three in the This Man series and the BIG news of the coming reading week. I personally cannot wait to take me a fresh bite of the wild ride that is Mr. Jesse Ward. The release date is the 2nd July and I’m waiting with baited breath, impatiently tapping my fingers on my Amazon Kindle app until then.

If you’ve not read this series then do yourself a favour. It’s voted by my blog readers as one of the top 8 reads after FSOG. It’s intense but awesome!

Happy reading ladies!

Monique, Here’s a link to Jodi’s post about pre-orders in UK and in your neck of the woods: http://jodiellenmalpas.co.uk/Blog/tabid/91/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/35/Pre-orders-on-This-Man-Confessed.aspx#.UdA5z_mTiSp
I, too, am waiting for the Lord of the Manor to confess…..July 2nd cannot come fast enough!!!
On another note, I read Unbreak Me by Lexi Ryan. Have you read that one? It is a good read, worth adding to your shelf!

I caved and read Entwined…against protest…glad I did, I liked it. I also read the Up in the Air series…”In Flight”, “Mile High”, and “Grounded” by R.K. Lilley. Really like them…no shortage of lemons there! 😉 It was the story of James, hot billionaire dom, and Bianca, “inexperienced” flight attendant with a messed up childhood. I know…same story…different characters…but really good nonetheless. They’re a trilogy and need to be read in order. I think that’s why I was so drawn to the Undeniable series by Madeline Sheehan a few weeks ago. It was a crazy intense love story with no billionaires or doms…well, Deuce was rather “domineering”, but he wasn’t a dom.
    I too can’t wait for another round of Jesse! 😉 😉 😉
On another note, has anyone ever been to Book Bash? I know its in Orlando this weekend. Many of our favorite authors are there doing meet and greets and signing books and other memorabilia. If you’ve been, I’d love to hear about it. Tickets are on sale for next year’s book bash and I’m considering it.

I read Savor You by Emily Snow; it was very good. Now I’ve started This Man…Holy Mother of God I love it so far. It’s one of those books I can’t put down. Monique, I ordered This Man Confessed a few weeks ago from B&N on my Nook…don’t know why it’s not available to you…keep trying!

    Hey everyone

I finished reading the book Sempre by J.R.Darhower, took me 3 days cos it’s quite long but well worth it. This was an intense read but really gripping, human trafficking, italian mafia, murder, drugs, weapons and a beautiful love story between Carmine & Haven, this book stayed with me for days.

Then I read Ambrosia by Erin Noelle, this is book two in the book boyfriend series and you need to read Metamosphosis first. This is very angsty and love triangly but I love that kind of book, now I await book 3 to find out what the heck is going to happen.

Then finally Jack F’n Carter jumped onto my kindle in the form of The Game Changer by JR Sterling. This is the followup to The Perfect Game and I was not disappointed, I loved this book too.

I also read The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley, this is a story centred around a young girl called Amber who lives with her mum & brother and the boy next door called Liam who for 8 years has sneaked in her bedroom window to comfort her from the fathers violent mood swings. And yep there is love at the forefront of this story too. A nice easy read.

I then read Following Me by K.A.Linde. I love the avoiding series books by this author but this is completely different. This is a young girl running away from something and trying to start anew and it all comes crashing down on her. Was a page turner for me though.

I also read the novella from Michelle Valentine called Rock My World which is part of the Black Falcon series. I love sexy rock star books and this series so I eagerly read this Riff and Audrey follow up and enjoyed it very muchly 🙂

And my final book which was SOOOOO good was called Mid Life Love by Whitney G. This is just the kind of book I like, a hot, rich and sexy dominant alpha male and beautiful woman that he wants badly. Stop right there though, yep he is 28 years old, gorgeous and sexy as hell and his name is Jonathan. He is also the CEO of the company she works for. Her name is Claire, she is about to turn 40 years old, she has just divorced her husband after finding out he was cheating on her with her best friend (including getting her pregnant) and she has twin 16 year old daughters. The sex is really hot and it was so refreshing to read about a woman in my age bracket. I really enjoyed this book 🙂

And like everyone else I eagerly await This Man Confessed tomorrow and for those if you waiting for Out of Breathe by Rebecca Donovan, the final instalment in the breathing series, OMG you are going to LOVE book three, filled with yet more angst and heartbreak but I just devoured it in one day/night, this series is amazing 🙂

Have a fabulous week getting down with Mr Ward and please let Sarah get the arse kicking she deserves!

Hi Monique ! I was able to pre order this man confessed so not sure what’s happening there. Cannot wait ! Have been reading all the maya banks series of sweet addiction, sweet persuasion etc.. Great series!! The best one of all was Sweet Addiction which I actually had a book hangover from. Intensely hot but also emotionally intense. Have her RUSH /FEVER series on my shelf also still haven’t gotten to down London road. Hope everything gets resolved with the Jesse download. Good luck! Jen😘📖📚📱

Aaah, Samara! I so share your life!!! Sooo funny! I know what you mean, it’s great to just let your hair down with the girls huh? I think we should start girl clubs, like they had in the old days for men in the UK. A tranquil place with overstuffed couches where you can lay and read, where wine or coffee materialise next to you (maybe chocolate also), and there are NO demands on your time… even if it is just for a while… No bubs and no hubs! 😉 LOL!
