Between the covers book club and more

Hello, ladies!

How is your Sunday shaping up? My darling husband is whisking me away next weekend so I’m hoping to have the next chapter done before then – please note I’m HOPING 🙂

This week I read:

rapt  ul

Rare and Precious Things by Raine Miller. This is book four in the Blackstone Affair series. I enjoyed it, but as one reader already mentioned, a tad anti-climatic. Good read though and series well worth enjoying.

Unlocked by Maya Cross. This is book three in The Alpha Group series. I enjoyed this series, I liked that, for a change, the setting is Australian, and I always enjoy a little bit of action alongside all the hotness. A good read.

On my shelf I have:

ab  two

Afterburn by Sylvia Day and The Wild Ones by M Leighton. I must say that I’m looking forward to see what Sylvia is going to do with fresh characters. I love Gideon and Ava so much, it’s hard for me to imagine that I could like another couple more.

Dr Suess: relevant whether you’re six or sixty!

And I know of a few readers who will be happy to see the return of the teaser 😉

“…“Sir, with all due respect, it’s damn near impossible to guard someone who doesn’t want to be watched.” To underscore his point he tips his head my way – a reminder of me giving Sawyer the slip…”

Kereny is working her hiney off and sent me chapter 19 of the Spanish version of Meander – see it freshly posted in the sidebar 😉

This is priceless ladies – have a laugh with me 🙂

Crashed is the amazing conclusion of the Driven series by K. Blomberg. It is a great read that is quite a roller coaster ride! My new favorite trilogy! Well worth your time..very bad book hangover though! Love Colten

Hi Miss Monique. ;). K I just finished precious things and it was quite sedate for my tastes not what I’d hoped. Unfortunately I read “letting go” by maya and wow did I ever want to let go!! 2 disappointments in a row. Afterburn does not come until 17th here… So I guess I am wearingly going to try wild ones or unlocked… Kind of skittish since evrything seems very short and very dull lately… Well except for our meander of course!! And I am rereading this man series then back to the fifty shades trilogy.

Yes, I agree. Not what I hoped for either. Unlocked is book three in the Alpha Group series and though I enjoyed it, it’s not what I would recommend if you’re in a disappointed book slump. Have you read All The Pretty Poses by M Leighton? If you don’t mind SERIOUS BDSM then I would suggest the Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz starting with The Siren. She writes extremely well, an intelligent read and sexy as all get out! But like I said, HEAVY BDSM theme, and at times varies from dark and twisty to witty. AMAZING plot!!! There are many books in the series ranging from full length novels to novellas to fill in the blanks. A series you can really sink your teeth into. I LOVE the This Man series!!!

Thank you just bought Siren and actually took the other bloggers advice on Driven trilogy and I am quite enjoying that. Thanks for helping a girl over a slump!! Always thinking of you… Wish you well see you on the other side of meander… 😉
