I fucking love it đ I can’t stop watching it it’s like I’m addicted to it and it’s only the trailer, can you imagine how we’re gonna feel when the movie comes out? I think I’m gonna have a heart attack, Jamie looks so hot and handsome it should be illegal. And Dakota? She looks amazing and totally submissive I think I’m gonna die a happy woman đ I gotta go and watch it again đ

I couldn’t see it on your link so went into universal pictures uk to see the full trailer.
There were parts that Jamie looked quite handsome, Dakota ……… I’d rather say nothing where shes concerned, honestly I think Beyonce singing at the end was the sexiest thing about it!

Dakota does not suit the role. Not even Jamie. Christian is supposed to be a beautiful man and Jamie (while handsome) doesn’t fit đŠ

YES, YES, YES!!!!!! It definitely delivered. I gotta say I really was excited when the announced Charlie H as CG; however JD has flipped it on us. The selection of the cast is on point! đ

It’s not supposed to be. I asked EL a month or so ago if his hair is supposed to be brown copperish or red, she told me brown like a penny.

I totally loved the trailer. I thought the set, Ana & Christian all looked great, and the timing was paced really well. I’m very hopeful the movie carries through. Definitely looking forward to it!
As far as Dakota and Jamie, I thought their interview was very uninspiring. Neither one looked particularly happy to be there…and Dakota talking about the romantic scenes just being “a task” disappointed me (and Jamie too, I think). I understand there are lots of nuts and bolts and choreography with the scenes, but I’m having real trouble liking her in the role. The interview didn’t help me with that.
I think they would have been better to show the trailer, and skip the flat interview. But I am very excited to see the film in February.
Whoever did the trailer and the launching of it has excellent marketing sense….hope that same marketing team does some work on Dakota and Jamie’s interview presence.

Hmm. Also to be fair, I don’t think the interviewer did her best, either. Monique, thank you for doing the countdown. It added a lot of fun to the launch! It exceeded my expectations! February seems very, very far away.

Sharon, you’re not the first one to mention that the interview was flat, and considering the fireworks that’s supposed to exist between them, regardless of the nitty gritty of shooting a scene, she’s still a girl in the arms of a passionate man. That really should translate anyway, filing or no. Like you, I’m loving the trailer though đ

Love it. Can’t say the hair colour upsets me – it does have reddish tints. When I read the books it was the characters of the protagonists that gripped me. I was fully aware that NO-ONE would absolutely fullfil the physical descriptions and, anyway, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! To those who go on and on about “not handsome enough/pretty enough” I say grow up and enjoy the story!! đ

I agree with Sharon. Much needed work on interviewing, but I understand their nerves. I think they’re going to do well in the movie. LOVED the trailer…perfect amount of everything we love about C and A! Now we wait…

I loved it and can’t stop watching it. very well done…the elevator scene, tub scene…when he says “I am” to her comment of “look at me” and when she says enlighten me…can’t wait for the movie….Jamie is a great choice and I thought Dakota did quite well too.

Sorry, ladies…just doesn’t work for me. They are both wrong for their parts…she’s simply not pretty enough (and this was a key element to the whole piece) and he’s just not a large enough presence for the role. Other than the very brief elevator scene, they both looked and sounded bored. I think her casting was a definite mistake (no knock to the actress) and personally, I can’t get past the chance that this could have been Charlie Hunnam…he knows how to do the bad boy intimidating thing and look hot doing it…Know it’s ‘personal’ but that’s what happens when we fall in love with a character in a book. If it feels right for you – ENJOY!

Yes, you’re right, Maggie. One forms a visual that’s always going to be very hard for anyone else to nail. I loved the trailer overall but not nuts about the actor choices. We’ll have to see how they do on the big screen, with everything all in context.

Omg!! What else can I say?!! It was perfect!! Dakota is definitely our Ana and Jamie is perfect for Christian!! If you haven’t gone to the today shows website to see the full trailer they couldn’t show on tv do it now!!!! After that “enlighten me” but they show some kinky fuckery!!!! Hot damn!! Come on Feb. 14th you need to get here now!!!!

I thought the trailer was excellent. Great photography and they embody the characters. As for the interview? It’s only as good as the interviewer, who in this case was pretty poor. Why do actresses always describe sex scenes as a chore? Irrespective of how they really feel.

Well, I really liked the clip. I never wanted Jamie or Dakota for the parts of Ana or Christian, but the more I saw of the photos from the film the more I got used to them. The clip is looking good so far, so hopefully the film will be just as good, I am still looking forward to seeing the film when it is released.

Hoi Monique! I loved the trailer! And I am so relieved about that!!!! We all expect sooooo much from this film. Everyone who was reading the books saw their own film in their mind. So did I! But they did a great job as far as I can see now. I do love Jamie, he makes a great Christian! I have seen some interviews with him and he is just so sweet and grounded and a bit shy. Not so sure about Dakota if I am honest…. In the interview she looked a bit embarressed…. We have to wait and see! But so far so good! Liefs Janien

Thanks for sharing this with us. I haven’t made up my mind yet. I think Jamie will do well as Christian but not sold on Dakota. I have to wait and see the movie.the hype is amazing and has left us wanting more and even though I watched the trailer several times I’m still unsure and the interview was a bit disappointing. This is the movie of the century and I felt that the oomph wasn’t there. Just my opinion but I still love Christian and Ana. Enjoy your weekend . Miss your writing.

Ok, so as a vivid FSOG fan, of course I have to reblog this! I’m hopeful for the movie – yes I definitely had my doubts about the whole deal. Dakota wasn’t my first choice, but I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt – I don’t even know who I would’ve wanted, you know – I never tried to picture her. I love, love Jamie Dornan. I was pleasantly surprised wth the trailer. I liked the look of everything. But….still not sold on Jamie. I’m not saying he isn’t attractive…. But I don’t think he’s coming off as a panty-dropping dominating billionaire.
