I trust this post finds you well and truly in weekend mode. I’m so looking forward to Feb and the movie that’s likely to set the world ablaze with chatter. Love it or hate it, it will be the HOT topic for months to come. This is a pic of the FSOG poster at my local theatre 😉

The Belfast Telegraph published an article featuring Jamie voicing his concerns about being killed on the red carpet by crazy fans… Oh dear!
Then this! The cherry on top! Cosmo reports that EL James will be writing more romance novels… Yay!
This week I read:
Beautiful Oblivion by Addison Moore, book one in the Beautiful Oblivion series, was lovely. I adored this author’s honeyed words. I gave it a solid four stars on Goodreads. Loved it!

I guess you know these, right? LOL! Yes, before the movie comes I want one last time with my favorite couple before my view of them is forever painted with the vision of the movie director.

Hi Monique great idea to read the books again I think ill join you!.
This week I read The Gone Series books 1/2/3 by Deborah Bladon, they were ok wouldn’t rush to read more of her work.
To be honest I felt short changed with these books far too short and would’ve been a nice length as 1 book no need to make it 3! But trilogys seen to be the thing now!
I read the interview with Jamie in the telegraph too funny about crazy fans but I think he should be more worried about the crazy fans if he doesn’t do CG justice 😄 have a great week x

IKR? The Bladon books are always so damn short. I enjoyed the Vain series from her, but like you say short changes. It really should be one book instead of three. LOL! Too true about Jamie and the fans! 😉

Ha! A girl after my own heart…I’ve read FSOG 3 times cover to cover. Last week I read Baby It’s Cold Outside, a collection of holiday time novellas by Jennifer Probst, Kristen Proby, Emma Chase and more. Very good! Now I’ve been reading Riskier Business by one if my favorite writers, Tessa Bailey. Wow…she can really write a great story with lots of emotion, and the love scenes are HOT! Gotta get back to it now 🙂

Thanks 😉 Another one for the ever-growing list! 😉 Yes, me and FSOG… the first time I read the series I reread the whole series, cover to cover, back to back, 8 times in a row. I just could not get enough. I eventually started Meander in the hopes of getting over my fav characters…. Not that that helped! LOL! There was a while there that I thought I’d never be able to read an enjoy another book again. Luckily I’ve found my love for reading outside of FSOG again, but I think my love for it runs into the indelible….

HI Monique! !! You know, I read a couple of months ago, two novels you recommended here. Asher and Tyler, by Jo Raven. Well, she already released the third book, Zane, and is about to release the fourth, Dylan. And has the first book of another series, Micah. Really you must read them all. I love those stories. Even they all are kids with troubled past, each novel feels different, and every character has a different depth! ! Love girl!!!

This week I started The Club by Lauren Rowe. Four chapters in and I’m loving it. Here is the gist of it… hot, wealthy, single, guy (of course) fills out an application for a new…um…club 😉 . The “agent” at the club who accepts the applications is obsessed with his…”preferences”. She goes against the rules and gives him a snarky reply (she is not supposed to communicate with applicants). Now, he is obsessed with finding her. Here is the problem…she has never experienced the big “O” and that is his “specialty”. So far the book is about him trying to find her and all the things he’s going to do to her once he finds her. The story is written well. The characters are witty, hot , and fun loving. Like I said, I’m only on ch 4 and I hope the rest of the book is as good.

I’m in the middle of Book One of FSOG. I’m visualizing Jamie fairly often, but I know the movie scenes will change some of my favorite moments forever. Hopefully all in a good way. Have to say…I do love me some Christian Grey. I belong to a group on Facebook that includes several authors. They get in “snippy” sessions about how awful FSOG is and how dreadful the writing is. They don’t discuss how much the genre sales have escalated since “Fifty” stepped in…nor do they admit that they would switch places w/ E.L. James in a heartbeat. It’s amusing…truly sour grapes. And for some reason, I suspect E.L. James is a long way from needing their approval. It will be interesting to see what storyline her next books follow.
Beautiful Oblivion will go on my bookshelf!

I know, Sharon. They same thing is happening to me! Is it putting you off? And yes, sour grapes indeed. How silly! She’s done enormous things for the genre. I’ve certainly changed my reading material since then and I’ve never looked back!

Oh golly no. I’m old enough to be secure in my choices. But I don’t get into the online brawls. Each to their own, which is fine as long as my own includes Christian. They can have whoever else they want! I’ve been having love pangs for the man again with this latest reading. Sigh. Smart men would be memorizing these books, but they probably would be focusing on the wrong things.

Yes, Susan and I were discussing that the other day. If you don’t like a banana you don’t go around telling other people they’re wrong fro enjoying one. You just let them be. I don’t know what it is about this book that get’s people in the mood to criticize! And you’re so right. It should be a compulsory read to guys!
