This is just a few fun fan fictions that I came up with. I just decided to take a new spin on the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy. (I do not own any of the characters. The original story and all ideas belong to E. L. James).
A great WordPress.com site
I’m delighted Monique but excuse my stupidity but can you explain the sequence of events in the picture above. I don’t participate in social media sad but true so don’t know what I’m looking at 😉

LOL! That’s a Twitter feed, Katherine. I took a screen shot (a picture from my laptop camera) of the flow of the conversation. The first one is my post (the one you see here on the blog – my blog posts everything I do here directly onto my social media sites like Twitter and Facebook), then a follower (OfficeLadyProbz) retweeted it and tagged (a tag is a way to alert another person you’re talking to them) EL James into her tweet, and that’s what Erika saw and responded to by saying thank you and that she was feeling teary as a result of the letter. With Twitter you have a very small number of words you can write into a tweet so over time people have developed this sort of shorthand version of chatting. That’s why it all seems so short. Hope that helps 🙂

So happy that EL James read your letter and knows how her fans feel about FSOG.
Do you know if the rumors are true about Dorman quitting FSOG sequels?

Mercifully those are squashed now… Phew! 😉 Thank you for the congrats, though 😉

I heard the same. The news is supposedly based on an interview in an unnamed Australian magazine. The news has it publications such as the Mirror, Metro, Inquisitr, etc.
Jamie was one of the biggest reasons I followed this movie. I love the books, but if Jamie quits, I don’t know that I will see the sequels.
I hope the rumors aren’t true.

Maybe he is making a money grab? He didn’t know what he was stepping into when he took the job? Makes me not like him. After what he said about Dakota it’s ok with me if they replace him.

Oh dear! What did he say about her? If ever I wondered about the accuracy of reporting in the media this movie has proved that it’s all a load of bull. On the same day I read completely contradicting articles, so who knows what you can believe and what not? 🙂

I hope you are right about it being bull from unscrupulous gossip mongers trying to create drama.
What he said was he blamed his lackluster performance on Dakota. But it was from the same source. So I’ll take it as not exactly fact.
Thanks for setting me straight.

I agree, Monique. The article states that she gave him nothing to work with and that their was no chemistry. It also insinuates that his wife is not happy with the erotic sex scenes.
He never struck me as the type to be devious like that and I don’t believe for a minute that he would say that about Dakota. Maybe he wants to make his wife happy, but that doesn’t ring all true either. She’s an actress and knows the ropes. 😦

Dear Monique,
I found the film very disappointing, and I think the reason you’re not hearing more negative reports is because people who haven’t read the book probably don’t know about you or your blog. If I had never read FSOG, I wouldn’t guess Christian and Ana were falling in love.
It was way too chopped up — I felt like the screenwriter read every tenth page, then said OK, I’ve got the gist of it. When Ana says she’s a virgin, CG basically says “I’ll fix that.” No tenderness; no chance for her to have second thoughts.
I was disappointed with some of the casting. I thought Kate was too cute; I expected her to be more glamourous. I pictured CG’s pediatrician mother as older and softer-voiced, and Elliott didn’t look like an older brother OR a successful builder. As for Taylor, aren’t those ex-military guys usually clean-shaven when they have a buzz cut?
I’ll go see the next one regardless, but I’d really like to see it done by a different director and screenwriter.
Frankly, I’d like to see your version as the sequel after that! I go back and re-read portions of yours every few weeks. Do keep writing!

I agree with you, Marlene, and I can appreciate the non readers not getting the movie and not liking it, but it’s the personal attacks and the wild claims out there that really get me going. This past week I saw a newspaper headline blaming FSOG for an assault on a woman. That’s the sort of thing I think it preposterous, especially considering how violent porn is a mouse click away for anyone who cares to go looking for it. And just for the sake of putting it out there, I’m open to making a movie! LOL! 😉
