Quashing the rumours…

Hello, lovely ladies 😉

You, or at least most of you, will be thrilled to hear that Jamie’s reps have quashed the rumors of him leaving the cast. Check out these posts by US Weekly and The NY Daily News. Thank you, Tara for sharing the US Weekly link 🙂

Then, you can watch Dakota hosting Saturday Night Live on… yep, you guessed it; Saturday 😉

The more I hear the haters hating (especially those who’ve not read the books) the more grumpy I get. This says it all….

I have no problem with folks disagreeing with me, but I can’t help wondering why people waste their time on things they find unappealing.

In the italian version of the film Christian always calls Anastasia with her full name and never calls Ana.

And in the English version of the film? I’m very curious! Let me know, please!

I had no doubt that the rumours were a load of hogwash. The story was broken by an Australian trashy mag, same as the Prince Harry and Emma Watson story was broken by a trashy mag here. I don’t take anything that lot print with even a bowl of salt, much less a grain, as it’s more often than not made up.

I’ve also had so much rubbish come up on Facebook and whatnot from misinformed naysayers that haven’t read the book or watched the movie, I’ve had to learn to just tune it out and put my phone away. All they’re doing is repeating what some uppity Feminazi has spouted without thinking and looking into it themselves. A girl I went to school with wrote an article that was horribly misquoted, wasn’t fact checked in the slightest and laced with unrelated quotes from a Feminazi who has a hard-on for banning porn and any related industries. She also admitted she’s never read the books and went on to say that if you’re into any sort of ‘kink’, you’re disgusting and should be ashamed. To say I was disappointed is an understatement..

All these lot are doing is making sure the books and movies are still being talked about. Bad publicity is still publicity, and how many people have now read the books and sen the movie out of curiosity ? They can do what they like, but people like us who are on board and support this franchise far outnumber the naysayers and keep coming out on top.

I also feel a wee bit sorry for Dakota. Not only does she get the ‘OMG ! Sex scenes !’ questions and whatever else, that even I’m over hearing being asked, she also gets ‘OMG ! You’re parents famous and amazing and I love them !’ I’d be so POed and exhausted I’d be running away to hide as soon as I could until I got called up for another project.

Love the term, “feminazi” – very descriptive! I would just LOVE to understand how people can comment on something they know nothing about. And HOW on earth do you feel righteous enough to say someone else is sick and should be ashamed if what they do is between two consenting people behind the closed doors of their bedroom??

      • aimeerhiannon says:

        I think it’s a good one too.
A ‘true’ feminist will fight for EVERYONE to be equal, both men and women. Feminazi’s are the ones that want to eradicate to world of males all together and go completely over the top on everything.

I’m pretty open minded; I’ve seen a lot and had to accept a lot just working in the Equine industry, let alone everywhere else. Whatever floats your boat and gets you off, good for you. Do what you want and what you need and never be ashamed of it. Take it and run with it, laughing and screaming like a toddler who’s pinched the only roll of toilet paper left while you’re on the loo. The ones that should be ashamed are those that make you feel bad because they feel bad. I’m sure there’s something they do that they hide and keep secret because they know they’d be ridiculed, so they really have no right to crap on at you.

Like Graham Moore said in his acceptance speech at the Oscars this year: ‘Stay weird, stay different’. He may have been addressing teenagers who feel like the world is against them, but it applies to everyone. I copped a lot of crap during school as well as in the work place but I stick to my own and carry on being me and too bad to everyone else. It’s gotten me through a lot and made me a successful competitor so I think I’ll stick with it 😉

So glad jamie and Dakota will be back for the next movie. Can’t imagine having different people play the leads. They both did fantastic and considering all the criticism I really feel for them. At the end of the day they are actors and they played their roles the way they were written and directed even though they were different to the books. Why people have to be nasty is beyond me and they don’t realise they can hurt people’s lives. Love them both as Christian and Ana

Monique, you are the bright light in my day! What would we do without you? We knew when the film opened it would be noisy as it was when the books came out. Who would have thought in the midst of it they would attack an innocent actor and his wife? Thanks for all the sharing of the love we all have for this trilogy that touched so many of our lives. xx, L

    • Monique Lain says:

Hey Liz! Always lovely to hear from you! Yeah, I expected some backlash but this feels much worse to me than the noise from the books ever did. (Nice phrase, BTW). Sometime this week I saw a newspaper article blaming FSOG for an attack on a woman. Jeez, that got my goat up! Never mind that you can watch unlimited, free, violent porn on T if you’re shrewd enough to press a “yes, I’m 18” button or watch music videos on MTV that should be X rated, and these examples are just the tip of the iceberg. There is SO much wrong with society and they pick on Fifty???? WTF? It’s almost funny! Did you see the open letter I wrote Erika? I was so happy when she acknowledged it, made my day! 😉

So pleased these silly rumours have been quashed! Must share this: I was driving through Taunton (Somerset, UK) today and saw a black Audi sports car bearing the number plate 11 CG. It made me laugh!!

Oh Mon, you put the sun in my day. It’s snowing in southern Oklahoma USA and I needed some sunshine. Jamie may not have been my first choise but can’t even dream of the next movie without him now. Thanks for keeping us updated.

    • Monique Lain says:

I’m so with you. I would hate for a drastic change like that to be on the cards. You’ve gotta wonder if Hollywood itself puts rumours out there like this to measure people’s reactions to things they are unsure about…
