Pre order the DVD

Hello there, girls 😉

Just a quick midweek note….

The DVD is now available for pre order, and Crissy from the Laters, Baby! site discusses – in detail – which version to purchase. This one is for you, Crystal 😉

Then; this is cute…. A download for an Official Fifty Shades party kit….

Here’s a yummy fan-made trailer for Darker…

A funny edition of the trailer…

Behind the scenes with Ana…

Lastly, FSOG to Celine Dion’s soulful voice…

Thank you, Angelique 😉

This is COMPLETELY off topic but oh-so-funny! Pink Ink posted a little taste of what it’s like to be married to a romance writer… Hopefully my hubby doesn’t feel the same, but I must admit that he’s been dragged into service a few times to see what bits reach where for the sake of a scene… LOL!

Thank you, Sharon for serving up this little dash of hilarity! 😉

  1. I believe the UK version of 50 Shades of Grey will be allowing the more graphic version (called ’50 Shades of Grey: the Unseen Edition) of the film to be sold via DVD in June. It appears the US DVD version is holding to original ‘R’ rated version we saw in the cinema. ….this is my understanding of things but I may be wrong.

Hmm. I had preordered on Amazon…but I’d love to have the little branded journal and pen that comes with the Target version. (As IF I have even the slightest need for them. Just want them.) But I went to the Target site and hit the preorder button, and it said the item wasn’t currently available. Well, duh! That is presumably why you have a preorder button on that page. Interesting comment from Dawn about the “Unseen Edition”. The copy I have preordered from Amazon says it has both the “Unrated” version and the Theatrical release version. I do wonder if the “Unrated” is the same as “Unseen”.
And I have to say, I think the Powers that Be are doing fans a bit of a disservice by making it more than a little confusing with the different DVD’s and content. Certainly there are some fans that won’t be researching the various versions, and will end up with the basic version, and be upset.
And the bathroom sign is epic!! It has always been thus….

LOL! Those are the best buys, Sharon. The things we don’t need but simply can’t live without 😉 I confess to have a slight Hello Kitty addiction…. I agree with you on the confusion factor of the DVD versions, also! Why can’t they just load one DVD up with the full-house of features and sell it like that? No decisions to make, just one with it ALL!

Found this online – – Sounds like “Unseen” and “Unrated” will be the same thing. So the UK won’t get their version until June 8th? How strange is that?

“The movie starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, which has so far grossed more than $500 million across the world, will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 8 in the US as the Unrated Edition, with digital versions available on May 1.

Billed as the Unseen Edition in the UK, the alternate version of Fifty Shades will debut on Digital HD on Monday, June 8, following on Blu-ray and DVD on Monday, June 22.”

Question about a series of books some one mentioned awhile back. It was about a priest who saved a girl in touble. The priest was in to BDSM and the girl later be came a top madum. Can someone tell me what the name of the series was?

Crystal, that is the Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz. Total awesomeness for most of us – didn’t work for others. I would instantly buy any book written by this woman. Definitely should give it a try and see if it works for you. If I remember right, there will be 8 total books in the series, but she also has a bunch of short stories on her website. Start with the Red years (the first four books.)

Guess I should clarify. Nora doesn’t become a madam, but does become a top-notch Dominatrix. But that is overall a smaller part of the story.

Thanks Sharon for the info on the Original Sinners. I ordered some of the white series and some of the red series. If I like them will buy the rest of both series.

          • Sharon says:

Think you will miss important background if you don’t finish the red series first, but hope you enjoy. Let us know what you think!

I agree, Crystal. Read the main full books in order. With the little novellas it doesn’t matter so much. I LOVE this series. The characters and story line is incredibly well developed. Tiffany Reisz is a master!

Thanks Monique. This is so confusing. Why can’t the DVD and blu ray all contain the same version. Do we get the journal with the target exclusive in Australia too? Clever ploy for them to make more money I guess and it is making life difficult for us fans. I’ll have to research I suppose. Thanks for the info

  8. Sharon says:

Carmella, if you have Targets down under, I’m sure they will have the special edition with the journal. If not, they are already on ebay available for pre-ordering.
Actually…since you brought it up, are there Targets in Australia? Just curious.

The pre-order for the Exclusive Deluxe Version of Fifty Shades of Grey has been sold out at Target, from at least 29 Apr when your email was sent and when I started trying to order it. I already had it ordered from Amazon but wanted the deluxe version. I even tried calling Target and they said that they only had a set amount of pre-orders available. 😦

I got my FSOG video today. The package says unrated edition but the disk say “R”. Sure hope I get a bit more than I saw at the theater!!
