Between the covers book club and Spanish chapter

Hello, lovely ladies 馃檪

How quickly a week of hollies melts away *sigh* Wouldn’t it be nice to be paid to be on holiday? LOL!

I’m not sure if I’ve posted this before, but if you just LOOOOVE Jesse, Lord of the Manor, check out JEM’s site for Jesse POV shorts.

Then, I found this on Buzzfeed this week: an absolutely awesome LITERARY world map! So incredibly creative!

I didn’t get around to as much reading as I would have liked this week as me and the little miss was out having school holiday fun! 馃檪

The Spanish readers will be thrilled with Kereny’s latest translation – the reason for this very early book club post 馃檪 See chapter 65 in the sidebar.聽

This week I read:

hl

Hard Love by Meredith Wild, book five in the Hackers series, was聽good. I found it typical of what you might expect from this writer, but I still maintain that she should have kept with the three books instead of making the series into five. Good read, especially if you’re into epic series that last a loooong time and now, more worthwhile than before seeing as the series is complete.

Currently I’m reading:

dwn

Dark Wild Night by Christina and Lauren, book three in the Wild Seasons series.

mtmcdcnk

More than Music by Elizabeth Briggs, book one in the Chasing The Dream series, Colton’s Deep Cover (Also knows as The Cover) by Elle Kennedy, and Naughty King by Michelle A. Valentine, book one in the Manhattan Fairytale series.

Then, there are a whole lot for us to look forward to in October, not least of which is The Queen, the much anticipated聽final novel of the Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz. Here is what my Goodreads list has to offer us for the new month:

Hello Lovely Ladies of Grey 馃檪

So, spring has sprung and we’ve even had our first spring rains! I cannot tell you how happy I am to see the back of winter. Yay!

This made me laugh out loud over my cornflakes one morning this week… One for the ladies 馃檪聽

This week I read:

Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre was an absolute pleasure to read. I loved seeing the softer side of this phenomenal author. Usually she has our heads spinning with the twisty turns or dark paths of her books, but this one was a lovely, gentle story. I absolutely love that her content聽always comes as a surprise. With no discernible recipe from book to book, you never know what you will get. The only聽thing you can bank on, is a well written, entertaining piece of work.

Sexy by J.A. Huss was okay, not exactly bad, but after the very interestingly themed Three, Two, One, I expected a whole lot more from this stand-alone novel. Also, I can live with fantasy-like聽stamina of our male protagonists that lead聽to聽the never-ending stream of multiple orgasms of our female leads, but when the lovin’ becomes a physical impossibility due to the restrictions of human anatomy, I take umbrage. LOL!

Currently I’m reading:

hl

Hard Love by Meredith Wild, book five (and hopefully final) in the Hackers series.

On my shelf I have:

dwn

Dark Wild Night by Christina & Lauren, book three in the Wild Seasons series.

Lookie, lookie…

I thought I’d share this with you after my dismal reading week last week… From book slump to yummilicious books galore! Yay!

Happy, happy reading, girls! 馃槈

Between the covers book club and Spanish chapter

Hello girls 馃檪

I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend as I post this early Book Club post.

This week saw Ana’s birthday and Erika graced us with what she calls a teaser. I’m not EXACTLY sure what she’s teasing us with, a glimpse into the next Christian POV orrrrrr is this something completely new and she’s simply using the FSOG context to showcase it….

Check out the tidbit here.

Thank you, Sharon for sharing 馃檪

This week I read:

Mid-Life Love by Whitney Gracia Williams, book one in the Mid-Life Love series, was NOT for me. I found the Stepford-billionaire protagonist completely unbelievable despite the fact that I understand that our beloved genre tends to be far more fantasy than just straight fiction. If you want to read a book where the hero is too-perfect-for-words, simply accepting of the selfish, pig-headed, insecure (older) woman, then this might be the one for you.

Currently I’m reading:

I’m hoping that my book slump will be cured by the ever refreshing Alessandra Torre. Hollywood Dirt is her latest novel.

On my shelf I have:

s

Sexy by J.A. Huss. Let’s hope the name says it all… 馃槈

This week I read:

Connected by Kim Karr, book one in the Connections series was, as far as I’m concerned,聽one of the most cliched books I’ve read this year. It received glowing reviews on Goodreads, and it is my understanding that the ending has one helluva twist, but sadly, I did not get that far. This was not the book for me, but perhaps you’ll find your bliss reading this.

His Risk To Take by Tessa Bailey, book two in the Line of Duty series was another good read from this great author. I love the action/hot loving/strong, sassy girl/protective guy combos these books deliver so well.

Currently I’m reading:

mll

Mid-Life Love by Whitney Gracia Williams, book one in the Mid-Life Love series.
