Between the covers book club

Hello there, lovely ladies

Happy, HAPPY Easter if you celebrate the blessed holiday.

LOL!

This last week also saw my birthday, and a friend in the know sent me this cute little gift…

*grin* You’ve gotta’ love how Fifty is EVERYWHERE.

Who knows how legit this article is, but Korea Portal claims that Jamie and Dakota are keen to make a fourth movie….

This week I read:

The Night Mark by Tiffany Reisz was an exceptional book from a purely artistic perspective. The writing was clean and beautiful, the theme thought provoking, but if you love this author for her well-written, scorching kink, then this book does not deliver. Still, I give it my whole hearted seal of approval.

Currently I’m reading:

Mister Moneybags by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward.

On my shelf I have:

Twist by Kylie Scott, book 2 in the Dive Bar series.

Here’s a bit of amusing truth…

Have a great weekend, girls. Don’t eat too much chocolate!

Happy Easter to everyone. I cannot imagine a fourth FSOG film, I have read all the bumph on the internet that says it will be a film from Christian’s POV. Am I missing something? A fourth film from Christian’s POV will still be much the same as the other films! I could understand it if they wanted to continue the story after Phoebe was born, but I cannot imagine what a Christian POV film would be like. having said that I would probably watch it 🙂 Off to go an eat some chocolate egg, again Happy Easter!

Hi Sheila. 😉 I feel the same way. It’s weird. It’s not like they can show his thoughts. A fourth after Phoebe’s birth will make much more sense but then we’ll need the book first!! Hope you enjoyed your Easter! 🤗

    Blessed Easter To All,
I read “The Night Mark ” also and Tiffany Reisz can write anything for me. I am from the area she wrote about and if you get chance to visit please do. Her eloquence is just amazing whether she writes kink(smile) or not. I was a little sad that the book ended; and it has been along time since I have been affected by a book like that. Hope all is well with you and yours! Blessed Easter!

Hello there 🤗 It was beautifully written! She is phenomenal. I’m glad you enjoyed it! The area sounds stunning. Is the lighthouse real then? Yes, all is well (and dry again) here in QLD. Back to the grindstone tomorrow… 😉

Hi ladies happy Easter, home from my holiday and enjoying a wonderful day at home with the children 😁
I read 2 books while I was away, The first was The Deep End by Kirsten Ashley, thanks for the recommendations Mon I enjoyed it but felt the sex got very repetitive.
I then read Cold Hearted by Winter Renshaw, I was loving this book until it finished at 50%, the rest of the book was chapters from her others books, not happy at all this is the 2nd of her books I’ve read that this happened so I don’t think I’ll read anymore of her work.
I’m not reading anything at present so I’ll take a look at your recommendations Monique.
    Have a good week x

Nooooo!!! How incredibly frustrating, Katherine! From 50%? That’s just plain robbery. I would be irked too! Yes, The Deep End was hot until it was not. Also, her story resolution was a little simple for me. She usually spins quite an intricate web. But it was a good one. I’m interested to see if all the books will be Domme/sub. Glad you had a lovely holiday and some quality time with the fam. I hear VERY good things about Mister Moneybags, Katherine, and if you don’t mind a more chaste book, The Night Mark was really beautiful and very different. Hope you find your reading bliss, girlfriend! 😘

Happy Easter Monique and ladies. Hope you’ve all had a wonderful day. I can’t imagine a fourth fifty shades movie unless it’s a continuation of the original books. If they make a movie from Christian’s pov does that mean they’ll make movies off all 3 books from his pov? Seems strange that would happen but then again I suppose anything is possible. Not reading much at the momen but I did read anchor me by j Kenner and it just blew me out of the water. Have been so busy with life and work that I don’t have much time for anything else and I can’t wait for things to slow down so I can get back to my reading. There’s so many books to read in my kindle and so little time. What’s a girl to do. Enjoy your week ladies

I know the feeling, Carmela. So many books, so little time! 😝 But I hope things slow down a little for you. I like being busy but crazy busy is not fun. I’m with you on the possibilities of a POV movie. I would be very curious to see how they would pull that off. Though the original series is written from Ana’s POV, the movies feel mostly equally divided showing both of them, so it’s a thumbs down from me, unless they manage to pull a special rabbit from the hat…. 🙃

I’d be very surprised to see a fourth movie. That particular article is all about innuendo, so I’m discounting it. Happy Easter to others who celebrate!!
I’ve been reading a wolf shifter series that kind of snuck up on me (little wolf humor). The author did a good job at pulling me into the stories and what started as one free book has turned into several paid books. Kimber White is the author, and made for fun reading over the Easter week.
I’ve also purchased Mister Moneybags, so we can have a group review on it next week! It is next after I finish with the current stud puppy book.
Happy birthday, Monique….hope your hubby made good use of that tie!!

Oh my! Sneaking, huh? That sounds like fun! And yesssss, ties are always put to good use, Sharon *wink, wink* Thank you for your lovely birthday wishes and the best birthday video EVER! I spent half the evening trying to download it so I could share it on my blog, but the makers are too clever with protection. My inner geek is simply not up to the task! 😝 I don’t know why they don’t offer the option! I’d be happy to pay a couple of $$ to keep that one FOREVER! And I’d be happy to share with a reference to the company, so I don’t know why they allow that. Anyway, I will watch and enjoy as long as I can! 😘 Yesss, let’s talk MM next week. I hear good things….

Glad you enjoyed the video. The odd thing is my account doesn’t even show that I ever sent it? Because supposedly I could post it on your FB page. If I really like a video and want to save it and don’t see another way – I play it on my computer and video it with my phone or ipad – then I can do whatever I want with it!!

Nix on the report of fourth movie. Korea Portal publishes totally bogus articles. They have another article talking about JD and DJ’s upcoming wedding.
Gotta go… on the road again.

Just back from Passover vacation in northernmost ‘finger’ of the Galilee literally up against Lebanon border. Stunningly gorgeous area. Great waterfall hike. On Great African rift that birds use as migration guideline so saw amazingly giant flocks on their way up to Europe, including storks. Drove back by way of the Mediterranean coast and the water was dazzling. Feel like all the senses were tickled.

Next trip in a few weeks to Yosemite and… Seattle. Sadly not feeling the vibe of that trip. Deflation after FSD has left me surprisingly… bereft. Might feel better if I read one of the books again, but have so many other books on my list first. Oh… and just downloaded Trophy Wife by Alessandra Torre and CD Reiss’ new one due May 1st

Hey Lissa! That sounds like a magnificent trip! Wow. I have a thing for waterfalls, and to see a flock of storks? That’s pretty cool too! I have travel envy! 😉 I SAW The Trophy Wife. I love her stuff. Do I understand it correctly that this book contains ALL the novellas in the series? Happy reading, Lissa. She usually adds a nice twist to her tales. 🤗

And I don’t blame you for your lack of enthusiasm re Seattle. It was inevitable with our deep love falling short for the films.

Wow – what an ahmazing trip!!! Beyond jealous!! Bet you have some amazing pix!!!
I love visiting Seattle sooo much, one of my favorite destinations, but haven’t been there for probably 6 or 7 years. Know exactly where I would stay, the room I would want, first thing I would do, where I would eat…haven’t been there since reading FSOG – would absolutely be checking out those landmarks!! The movies haven’t lived up to my vision – but that hasn’t changed my love for MY Christian!! My hubs is such a tolerant man. Surprises me actually. Isn’t it sad that I’m so obviously harmless?

I think Trophy Wife is marketed as a stand alone…didn’t know there was a series.

Pls don’t get too deep into travel envy. This has been a wish of mine since 5th grade and I planned my whole life to do exactly what I’m doing now. Not everyone can pull it off. Not everyone has the level of desire/passion for accomplishing this that I have had. This is not an indulgence…rather a mission.

And apparently Torre’s Hollywood Dirt was made into a movie and is now being edited. Don’t know if mainstream. So holler if you see anything online. Watched several of JD’s early films online via youtube or another connection. Not sure how Hollywood Dirt will surface.

Looking forward to whatever you have to surprise us with Sunday.

Yes, it’s a massive commitment, Lissa, but if it’s your dream then go for it! Good for you for setting goals and making them happen. I think that’s worth emulating. Yes! I also heard the Hollywood Dirt movie rumours but haven’t come across anything. It was a cute book. I loved Cocky!
