Between the covers book club

Hello there, lovely ladies đŸ€—

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you yummy mummies out there. If you share in the joy of motherhood hope you have a blast celebrating with your precious ones. ❀

😂

After our speculation last week regarding a possible 4th book in the FSOG series, I saw this article on the Cinema Blend site, words straight from the horse’s mouth… Not sure how I feel about the idea of another book in the range. Personally I’m a big believer in going out on a high note. What do you think, girls? Would you gobble up another book or are you afraid that it might disappoint?

Then, both Katherine and Lissa shared this, an honest trailer of Freed. Enjoy if you don’t mind a bit of fun.

Funny AS! đŸ˜‚đŸ€—

This week I read:

Cracked Kingdom by Erin Watt, book 5 in The Royals series, was a great addition to this lovely series. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the middle Royal become a man.

Currently I’m reading:

Wrecking Ball by P. Dangelico, book 1 in the Hard Love series, is a new author for me, but so far I’m stoked! More about this read next week.

I’ll leave you with this colorful item I saw on Esty. How would you like to be reminded of your bits every time you glance at your hand?

Let’s hope vajayjay rings will NOT be making it big in the fashion world. 😳😂

I am with you Monique I do not know about a fourth FSOG book, but I am sure if EL James wrote one, I would buy it. JEM wrote a fourth book about Jesse and I enjoyed that a lot!
    Happy reading everyone.

LOL! Yes, Sheila. I feel exactly the same. Don’t want one but would read it if it comes. 😝 JEM’s effort with Jesse was excellent and an anomaly, I think. It’s rare that an author can revisit that successfully. 😎

Hi Monique and ladies, happy mother’s day.
That ring is a bit disgusting lol I certainly wouldn’t wear it 😕
Last week I read The Lucky Ones by Tiffany Reisz I loved it. Tiffany is a fantastic writer. I am currently reading The Night Mark by the same author I was really enjoying this until it started to get a wee bit weird! I’m only 40% in so I’ll keep reading to see where it goes, but I can’t fault the writing.
I’ve preordered Getting Schooled, it won’t be released until June unfortunately.

Regarding another FSOG book I would definitely read as long as she doesn’t do something stupid like have C&A split or something, though tbh I’d probably still read it but wouldn’t be happy 😱😱

Hey Katherine đŸ€— IKR? Who would want to wear a piece of jewellery like that?? It would certainly be a talking point, though. LOL! 😂
Yes, I know you’re not crazy about the spooky kinks she sometimes writes, so The Headmaster and The Night Mark may not be for you, but the Whisky one called the Bourbon Thief and her Men at Work series might be. The latter series is pretty straight arrow stuff from her, but the whisky one is great. đŸ‘đŸ»
Yeah, I think it’s safe to say we’ll ALL read a fourth FSOG book if it comes, but what are the chances of her topping what she did? đŸ€”
Anyway, hope your Mother’s Day was fabulous! 🌾

I remember you weren’t crazy about The Headmaster’s twist, Katherine 😉😉 The Men at Work series are like the regular books in our genre: boy meets girl, they fall in lurve, things go skew and then they make up, but good writing, nice plot. No twisty turns, though. đŸ‘đŸ»

I hope that ELJ spares us from the torture that that book would be. Don’t wanna read it but of course we would read it…and then be sad, groan, grind our teeth, sneer…or all of the above. I am looking forward to some spare time to revisit the books to get rid of the (bad) taste of the movies.

As far as reading, still enjoying the Lexi Blake James Bond-titled books. They are not great masterpieces, but easy reads and bring up some info that informed and amused me. Could we worse…

LOL! Exactly, Lissa. We’d read it and regret it. It would be incredibly hard to top what she did. But would it matter if we all flock straight to the store to buy the next instalment? Probably not. đŸ€”
And I empathise with your reading palette cleanser. Sometimes, sadly, it’s necessary. 😔
Enjoy your James Bind fluff. Not a bad way to spend your day, I’d say. They are pretty H.O.T. 😉
Thanks for checking in, girlfriend đŸŒș

No more books, and definitely no more movies!
That being said, I’d probably read it, but a movie, no, unless it was on HBO, without her involvement.

Happy Mother’s Day to you, Monique, and to other lovely mom’s in the group. Love the comic – I was always suspicious!!
Few years back, Erika put up a little excerpt of her next effort – don’t think it made much of a splash. I would much prefer she leave FSOG alone, but hard to turn down the few extra million, I would assume. She still has the third book of Christian’s POV to turn out, doesn’t she?
Can’t remember if we have talked about the Book Club movie coming out this next week. It looks like great fun – probably better than any of the FSOG movies! I’m going Friday night! Here is the link to the trailer:

Thank you for your kind wishes, Sharon. Yes, I wear an apron every day – it’s my cape, only I wear it backwards! LOL! 😂
Yes! I remember the excerpt. I was excited about it at the time, but I guess the movies just eclipsed EVERYTHING since then. And we are indeed still expecting Freed from CG’s POV. 😜
Yessss! I featured the trailer a while ago. It looked very promising. Another thing that would be fabulous for us all to watch together. Enjoy your girlie fun. Let us know how it went. đŸ‘đŸ»

    Hi Hi…
Loved the Savage Prince and Iron Princess but agree too short. Its like the one series I started “Honor Bound” where each book is 9.99. Good length but nuts to pay it…so I stopped at 3 (7)… The Prince is good so far and love the cliffhanger at end of Iron Princess!! I was like whatttt….
Did NOT see that coming cause the ending got a bit confusing…but the final one out shortly hopefully it clears some of it up!!
Just hanging around waiting for my next 3 wishes that come out on the 22nd!!
We just had Mother’s Day here… So shared some very nice cocktails with my only girl !! Chat soon ladies…

Hey girlfriend đŸ€— Yes! Savage was fun but short. Drives me nuts when they short-change us like that! 😝
And did you notice how many new releases come on the 22nd? I wonder what the story is? Special day, or what? đŸ€” I’m hopping in my seat for it too. Not long to go. đŸ‘đŸ»
Glad you had some special time with your special gal! That’s lovely. 😍
      Have a good one 😘
