Hello there, lovely ladies 🤗

How was your week? My few days of rest flew by, but it was lovely to have a little break. 👍🏻

Of course, since the teaser trailer dropped, I’ve come across some fun edits. The first is the teaser accompanied by The Weeknd’s Nothing Without You:

And here’s a clip featuring some text from the book:

This one is completely unrelated to Fifty but funny nonetheless. I bet the wedded folks amongst us can relate. Thank you, Sharon for the marriage porn:

LOL! 😂😂

This week I read:

Him by Sabrina Bowen and Elle Kennedy, book 1 in the Him series, as mentioned last week, was my first forray into the world of M/M. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the romantic aspect was a pleasant surprise considering the theme.

Currently I’m reading:

Raw Heat by Cherrie Lynn, Book 3 in the Larson Brothers series and King of Code by C. D. Reiss.

On my shelf I have:

Dear Bridget, I Want You by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. I love this duo so I’m looking forward to this one.

Who says losing your head over a girl is a bad idea? Not this guy…

LOL!  😂😂

Have a beautiful week, girls. Drop by and let us know what you’re reading.

Hello there, lovely ladies 🤗

How was your week? Mine was nuts, but luckily I’m enjoying a short break now. Whoo-hoo! #LoveSchoolHolidays 😉

Last week I mentioned Goodreads’ 2018 release date for Freed from Christian’s POV, but Erika’s site says “sometime in 2017”. This week saw her bidding “adieu” to the NY offices of Penguin Random House (her publishers) on Instagram to much speculation around the next instalment of Grey. Perhaps we WILL see it before the year is out after all. 🤔

Also, I posted a short teaser followed by another clip which I believed was the actual trailer. Apparently I jumped the gun.

The longer clip was actually the teaser trailer and the shorter clip, well, I guess was the teaser’s teaser trailer?? 😂 It’s interesting to note that this time the teaser trailer is much, much longer than it was for the other two movies. Maybe it’s because the film is already in the can, or it could be because of the flagging interest in the coming Freed movie. Either way, I’m very curious to know what’s up with the wedding dress hanging from the chandelier in the opening scene. That’s just plain weird! Here it is again if you missed it the first time:

And if you’ve been following the Seattle Independent Press site, don’t forget to check out the latest developments.

Then, adult toy company, Lovehoney launched their Fifty Shades Freed collection.

Lots of deep purple fun to be had, it seems. 😉

This week I read:

Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid, book 1 in the Knitting in the City series was another spectacular book from this offbeat author. A smart romance indeed, but, as a side note, the bedroom antics were very lite – implied rather than explicit. Nevertheless, I went onto my favourites shelf because it literally made me laugh out loud. 👍🏻

Fallen Heir by Erin Watt, book 4 in The Royals series was an excellent addition to this range. I enjoyed seeing the middle Royal’s intense struggle to find himself.

Currently I’m reading:

Him by Sabrina Bowen and Elle Kennedy, book 1 in the Him series. Yes, ladies. You are not seeing things. I’ve taken the plunge into the world of M/M. Let’s see how I go…. 😳

On my shelf I have:

Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid, book 1.5 in the Knitting in the City series.

Katherine shared this delightful little bit of brave humanity…

Whahahahaha! 😂😂😂

Until next time, girls. Have a stunning reading week.

Hello there, lovely ladies 🤗

Let me start off by saying good luck to all our US friends on the Florida coast. Let’s hope Irma’s rage is spent without too much damage. Please stay safe! 😳

Then, as I speculated last week, the hype for Freed is markedly subdued. The trailer teaser came and went with little hurrah. Nevertheless, here it is:

I’m still waiting for word on when we’ll see the actual trailer.

And as the Fifty-craze cools down, Game of Thrones news sizzles, not least of which, of course, is the melding of GOT and FSOG. I give you Fifty Shades of (Daenerys and Jon =) Jonerys:

I guess it was inevitable. LOL! 😂

Seeing as September saw the launch of Passionflix, the new book-turn-to-movie streaming company, we got a glimpse into Aftershock and Afterburn’s trailer, the film adaptation of Sylvia Day’s duo.

I’m very curious to get some feedback regarding this service and the quality of the adaptations of our beloved books. It makes me wonder, if Passionflix is set to develop this corner of the market, will they be selling their wares to the likes of Netflix and Co? Has anyone bought a subscription yet? Please share your thoughts if you have. I bet we ALL want to know.

This week I read:

Beneath the Truth by Meghan March, book 7 in the Beneath series was good, but it didn’t quite reach Dirty Girl standard. I can’t say why, just a little something missing from the magic.

Wrecked by J. B. Salsbury was a struggle for me. I fought my way through the pages. Despite likable characters and a good ol’ tear jerking turn in the plot, I could not find my joy with this tale. Again, not anything I can put my finger on, but it definitely didn’t hold my attention until close to the bitter end.

Currently I’m reading:

Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid, book 1 in the Knitting in the City series.

On my shelf I have:

Fallen Heir by Erin Watt, book 4 in The Royals series.

That’s it from me for this weekend, girls. I’ll leave you with this sweet treat from Katherine:

I tag ALL of you, but especially Crystal! LOL! 😂😉

Have a good week!

Hello there, lovely ladies 🤗

Happy Father’s Day to my Australian friends and especially to my hubby. Our daughter is blessed to have you in her life. 😍 And we’re celebrating the start of a new season! Happy Spring (or autumn), depending on where you are. Personally I’m delighted to see our deciduous trees butting with fresh green colours and flowers dotting the gardens I drive by. It’s my favourite season! 🎉 Plus, the month will hopefully bring us Freed’s trailer. Anyone know when we’ll get a glimpse into what the final movie will bring? Also, I see on Goodreads that Grey’s POV of Darker is only expected next year. I wonder why. No doubt Erika and Hollywood will rake it in on the last film, but even among us diehard fans I can FEEL the interest waning. If it was me I’d have released Christian’s Darker around the middle of this year. But what do I know? Well. Nothing to do but wait. 😜

This clip is unrelated to Fifty but when I saw it it made me smile. A delightful cuddling tutorial ala John Stamos…

Cute, huh? 😉

This week I read:

Grin and Beard It and Beard Science by Penny Reid, book 2 and 3 of The Winston Brothers series. Again I LOVED both. Such beautiful language. I’ll be working my way through the whole, delicious range.

Currently I’m reading:

Wrecked by J.B. Salsbury and Beneath the Truth by Meghan March, book 7 in the Beneath series.

On my shelf I have:

Fallen Heir by Erin Watt, book 4 in The Royals series.

I’ll leave you with this little gem. It right up my sense of humour’s alley…

😂😂 See, Katherine? You can tell your boys I’m not ALWAYS corrupting their mum! 👍🏻

Have a wonderful weekend, girls! Chat soon.

Hello there, lovely ladies 🤗

I hope you’ve had a stellar week and that any readers in Texas stay safe and dry. From a reading point of view, I’ve had a lovely one. But more about that later. 😉

First off, Popsugar delivers the inside scoop on what to expect of the film adaptation of Freed. Still not entirely sure how I feel about the upcoming screenplay. Freed was my favourite of the three novels, so I’m more invested than before.

And speaking of movies, I saw a blurb on the Fifty Shades of Grey News Facebook page: a film being made of 4 girlfriends, all around the age of 60, reading Fifty for their book club. Huh. Sounds like fun! Check out the Variety site for more.

Then, I don’t know how many of you are Game of Throne fans, but if you are, here’s the perfect way to combine your GOT obsession with your FSOG love…. Jon Snow’s long, ahem… shaft. Yes, you can now play Game of Moans, I mean Thrones, with yourself (or a partner). 😉😉 According to The Huffington Post the “Game of Moans—Long Shaft is an 11.5-inch replica dildo of Jon Snow’s Valyrian steel sword, Longclaw. It even has a Stark direwolf at the very top of the sword”.

Winter is commmmiiiiing! 😂😂

Then, I always enjoy looking at reading lists but I get a little panicky when I see one where I don’t recognise most of the authors on said list. The Book Bub Blog’s list of “13 Books Coming Out This Summer For Fifty Shades of Grey Fans” has me stumped. Out of the 13 mentioned I only know Megan Hart and J. Kenner. Am I missing something amazing? Anyone read one of these authors before?

This week I read:

The Forbidden by Jodi Ellen Malpas. This was an interesting read. Firstly, like I mentioned last week, the lady doth protests too much. Considering her personal life dramas of the last year or so, plus the heavy disclaimer at the start of the book, I can’t help but to feel this story is about more than meets the eye. Is she telling us to read between the lines, does she have something on her mind that she feels the need to air? Either way, the adulterous theme feels very close to her heart. I can usually separate myself and my morals from a book I’m reading, so I don’t think the theme has anything to do with my feelings, but I got the impression that the story belongs to her in more ways than just in copyright. It ticked all the boxes, and I gave it 4 stars because I couldn’t put my finger on any fault, but I can’t say that I enjoyed it. As MAC said, it’s no Lord of the Manor-story.

Royally Endowed by EmmaChase, book 3 in the Royally series was another cute and delicious read in these Cinderella-like tales. I loved it.

Then, Truth or Beard by Penny Reid, book 1 in the Winston Brothers series, was simply delightful. I adored the well rounded characters, the laughs, the quirks, and the delectable slow building heat between Duane and Jessica. This one went straight to my Favourites Shelf. But, it has to be said, if you’re a stickler for details, there are a couple of holes in the plotline at the end. Nothing too big, but I was surprised that an author of this caliber missed those hanging threads.

Royally Raised by Emma Chase, book 2.5 in the Royally series, was a super tiny novella, so tiny in fact, that it left me very disappointed. It felt like the start of a story rather than a story by itself. But, as it was for free, I guess I can’t complain too much! 😉

Currently I’m reading:

Grin and Beard it by Penny Reid, book 2 in the Winston Brothers series and Wrecked by J. B. Salsbury.

Lastly, with September knocking on our door, let’s take a look at what the turn of seasons will bring to our book world:

As always, these goodies are taken from the Goodreads site.

Here’s something for you to ponder on:

LOL! 😂😂

Anyway, that’s it from me, girls. It’s always a pleasure sharing with you. Have a good week!

Hello there, lovely ladies 🤗

So? What’s new in your world? Not much happening in mine except for the run of the mill goodies. Not that I’m complaining. I’m more than happy with spending time with my family and finding my joy in books. ❤️ #HappyDays

I have to ask, with Septemeber looming, are we excited to see Freed’s trailer? Anyone holding their breath? I found some cool edits on YouTube, the first being my favourite:

Any thoughts? 🤔

Completely unrelated, but how cute is this adorable idea for a public restroom?

Speaks for itself, doesn’t it? 😉

This week I read:

Trust by Kylie Scott was another great read by this reliable author. Again it supported the current trend of less is more in the bedroom department, but it suits the novel. I didn’t feel short changed and the story was solid.

Currently I’m reading:

Royally Endowed by Emma Chase, book 3 in the Royally series and The Forbidden by Jodi Ellen Malpas. The latter has me intrigued. I’m about halfway through, but I would be remiss in not mentioning the disclaimer at the start of the book. She seems to be taking special care to SELL the whole adultery concept. I can’t help but wonder if she’s had a personal taste of that particular type of forbidden fruit.

In closing, a little light mischief….

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, girls. Don’t forget to share your book boyfriends with us! 😉

Hello there, lovely ladies (and the occasional gent – mostly my darling hubby) 🤗

How is this fine weekend treating you? I find it’s almost always too short. I propose a three-day break instead of two. What do you say? 😉

I thoroughly enjoy reading through book lists to compare notes, but it never fails to astound me that they seldomly feature our beloved Fifty. I guess stating the obvious is not interesting enough. This one from Buzzfeed is pretty good as far as they go. Thank you, Sharon for sending this link our way. 😘

This week I read:

Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland was another great read by this author. I have yet to find one from her I didn’t like. They are the perfect blend of story, love, and angst.

Their Virgin Hostage by Shayla Black and Lexi Blake was a little bit of a letdown for me. Usually, when the mood strikes, I enjoy their multiple menage themed meanderings, but this one just didn’t have that magic X-factor.

Mack Daddy by Penelope Ward was a cute read. Nothing that will keep you gripped through the night, but still, a good all-rounder.

Then, Attraction, Heat, and Capture by Penny Reid, books 1, 2, and 3 in the Elements of Chemistry series, was what kept me up this week. I’ve had books from this author on my to-read list for ages, but it’s the first time I’ve dipped my toe in the Penny Reid pool. And what a pleasure it’s been. I just love losing myself in a full series, and this one was lovely. A solid and hearty four stars from me and a place on my favourites list. Yay! 🎉

Currently I’m reading:

Trust by Kylie Scott.

On my shelf I have:

Thanks to Katherine, Dr Stanton by T. L. Swan. I hear good things.

This made me laugh…

Have a gorgeous week, girls. Hope to hear of your happy reading adventures.
