This week, I’ve enjoyed some very interesting reads, one of them had me doing this…
This week I read:
Locked by Maya Cross was a pleasant surprise, very reminiscent of FSOG but it didn’t seem like a copy. The unfortunate thing is that it’s a novella, and though this instalment in itself was conclusive, it did leave me intrigued enough to want to read the rest. I like her writing style, steering well clear of literary clichés, there was something fresh about it in spite of going with a light D/S theme that’s so popular at the moment. Thank you again to Audrey who sent this to me.
Reading Release me by J Kenner was an interesting experience. Firstly let me say that I liked it. I thought it was very well written, her writing style is exceptional, but… one of the reviews on Goodreads summed it up very nicely, it said something along the lines of “… This book is great if you’ve not read FSOG and Crossfire…” I feel the same way. Great book, well written, but when you’re going to write something so very similar to FSOG and Crossfire you really need to come up with something… more because the competition is well…’ so stiff;) If your’e lusting after a perfect blend of FSOG and Crossfire, then this book is certainly one you will enjoy.
Tempting the Best Man by Jennifer L Aremtrout (or J Lynn) was my sqyeeeeeee!!!!! read this week. I absolutely LOVE it! It reminded me very much of Cherri Lynn’s books. Tempting the Best Man is part of a series but can be read out of order as each one is about a different Gamble brother…

Last week I downloaded and read Real by Katy Evans after it was recommended by one of your readers. To be honest I wasn’t expecting to like it as boxing or any sport isn’t really my thing – well how surprised was I?!
Not since my first reading of FSOG have I sent up all night to read a book then try and work the next day lol
I loved it so much that I read it twice last week!
The characters were amazing and I also loved the storyline.
The second part “Mine” is being released in June, yip I emailed the author, think I am turning into a stalker 🙂
So big shout out to the girl who recommended it
Of course Christian is still my first love but if I can’t have him then I would settle for Remington Tate, yummy!
This week I am going to give Tempting the Best Man a try, let you know what I think next week x

No one will ever replace Christian but I’m soooo happy that you found romance that you enjoyed beyond FSOG! Tempting was just what I needed, I’ve got a bit of a BDSM hangover at the moment and it was refreshing to read a more “normal” love story but still with a strong male lead. I have no idea if you’d like it, sweet like candy and not quite as hot as they come but I really enjoyed it. I’ll read Real (it’s on my list), I think that will give me a better idea of what to suggest to you beyond FSOG. Have a good week, try not to get into trouble… 🙂 stalker LOL!

This week I met the Ross brothers in Unleashed and Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn…thanks to this website! Loved them both…and Brian, from Rock Me, can’t get him out of my mind. I’ll have to be honest, didn’t know “exactly” what an apadavyra (sp?) was, had to google image it…lol. Imagine this…as I say to my 50+ conservative husband, “Hun, come look at this…you’ve gotta get one of these!” You imagined it right, it didn’t go over so well..ha ha. He thinks I’m nuts. Uh, nuts isn’t the word I was thinking 😉 I already preordered the next one, and the 2nd book to On Dublin Street, and Crossfire, and Entwined. These series are killing me, it’s getting to the point where I don’t remember what I’ve ordered and who did what to who in which book 🙂 Somebody needs to write a book, or one-shot with all these guys in them. Anyway, I love the Sunday Book Club… so glad you started it. I have a big list of good reads waiting for me, and I enjoy the book share. On my shelf to read next, Beautiful Disaster…ran out of time to read it this week. Happy reading…and writing!

I LOOOVE Cherri Lynn! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. It took me so long to get around to reading them because the covers put me right off, but I was so happy that I did! And yes, the apa…. need we say more… 😉 and no, definitely not for the nuts… LOL! You should also read Leave Me Breathless by her, that’s Ghost’s story and she’s just released a short story, Light Me Up as a sequel to Rock me. I love the idea of a one shot with all of them in, like a superhero magnificent dozen or something but with romantic heroes instead! What an awesome idea Tracy! Yeah, I agree, book club is AWESOME! Thank you for supporting the idea! 😉

I have just finished reading The Dark Garden by Eden Bradley. I read another book by her called The Forbidden Fruit, it is about two people who have a food fetish and there is plenty of sex in the book. Does not sound great but it was a good book. Dark Garden is about Christian a dom and Rowan a dominatrix (not sure if that is correct spelling but you know what I mean). With a name like Christian I had to buy it. Anyway Christian believes that Rowan is really a submissive and asks her to give herself to him for 30 days to prove it. The other two characters in the book are April a sub and Decker a dom. They all meet originally at a BDSM club and everything escalates from there. What can I say but another good read.
There are so many good books recommended on here sometimes you do not know where to start, but thank you for all the suggestions, love them.

I know what you mean Sheila, my list never seems to get any shorter no matter how much I read! Interesting theme, the food fetish… not sure how I feel about that, then again, I might very well have a wine and chocolate fetish… Oh wait, that’s probably an addiction… 😉 Thank you for that, I’ve put it on the list…

Well this week i had the worst book hangover after Reading REAL by Katy Evans. Nothing seems to work and apparently timing also play a part in how much you could enjoy a book.
I picked Wallbanger after REAL and i was quite dissapointed. Its funny but i couldnt enjoy it. It just feel flat. Hlf way i was struggling to finish it. Took me a while to finish it when i had high hopes on that one.
So i re- read The Education of Caroline to get Seb Hunter take Remy out of my mind. And read Masters of the universe fAnfic lsl knon as our beloved FSOG. Its very interesting to read his POV. Together, Seb n Christian helped getting REAL out of my system. *phew*
also read the secret of Ella nd Micha which i found just ok.
And Walking Disaster. Not as great as BD but always interesting to read the guy’s POV.

You could also download the kindle app to your pc/notebook or iphone 🙂 lol… Yeah everything is now on e- book and took forever fr them to be on paperback. Actually the education of Sebastian was my first e-book n the reason I got my kindle app. Haha… And been one clicking ever since. Lol

Audrey, I’m so happy you enjoy the book club, thank you so much for supporting it! I’m not sure what you mean. Did you not enjoy Real? Yes, I think timing is quite important, I would have enjoyed Release Me more if I didn’t read so may BDSM themed books lately, it’s all beginning to flow together… I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Wallbanger. I liked it. For me it was a Saturday, no strings kina’ read, you know the ones that you can put it down but it made me laugh… I enjoyed WD because I read it a year on from the original, so I’d forgotten just enough to make it interesting again, and like you say, always nice to read the guy’s point of view. I do however sympathise with you re book slump… I had that until this last week where I’m constantly looking of that FSOG, Crossfire, This Man high… I really enjoyed Tempting the Best Man though it’s not nearly as intense as our favs.

Btw.. Deceived (part 1) is currently free on amazon. Its erotica and says in the fifty/ crossfire style. I had enough with the kind but just incase anyone interested. Its free ( dont know for how long though).
I must re-read Wallbanger again in the future and give Simon a second chance to bang me wall. Lol!!

I like the Sunday Book Club too! I like to see what others are reading and I get ideas too! This week I read Where I Need to Be by Kimberly Knight…it was ok. But THEN, I read Protecting What’s His by Tessa Bailey…great story, hot, and I loved it! Don’t miss that one! Next was Private Practice by Samanthe Beck which was good but not as good as Protecting What’s His. Now reading Down and Dirty by Christine Bell which I am really liking so far 🙂 Except for the first book I mentioned, all of these books are Brazen books from Entangled Publishing, Fabulous! They also published Gina Maxwell’s books Seducing Cinderella and Rules of Entanglement which I gave 5 stars on Goodreads!!

Last week I read The Submissive by Tara Sue Me. Awesome. I loved the book and its is gonna be part of a trilogy as well and I will defintely will be reading the rest of the series. I then read Ivy Lessons and Where the Ivy Grows by J Lerman and S Quinn. They were both ok books. I didnt feel wrapped up in them but were good reads none the less. I then read Steel and Lace by Adriane Leigh. If you have read FSOG, BTY and espcially the This Man series you dont need to read this book. If you havent read any of those you will love it. There are so many direct quotes from the book until I was like are you kidding me. She even got an “Angry F$%k from him. Finally I read Seduce by Lexi Buchanan. I couldnt put the book down. I loved it. Its a definite must read ladies. On my bookshelf this week I will read Claim Me, the follow up to Release me and I will read Real, by Katy evans since I see some of you have or are gonna read it. I have several other books on my bookshelf as well like Beautiful Bastard and Beautiful Stranger. Happy reading ladies. I really enjoy this book club.

I’ve read it, enjoyed it but I don’t think I’ll be reading the sequel. *SPOILER ALERT!!!!* He got off way too lightly for me, a tad short on the drama. How do you feel about it? I’ve put Seduce on my list…. Thank you! 😉

No, I didn’t know it was fanfic first. Yes its light on drama but I still enjoyed it and im interested in knowing how they will make this regular relationship during the week but submissive thing on the weekend work out.

That will be interesting to see. Also I’d like to see where she takes it, as far as I can remember there wasn’t any dark and mysterious things in the background laying in waiting. It will be interesting to see if she’ll bring in some suspense or if she’ll concentrate on the relationship between them,

I finally was able to read This Man and Beneath This Man. Now I know what all the fuss was about!!! I can’t wait until July when the 3rd one comes out. I also read Connected by Kim Karr and was very pleasantly surprised. The beginning was a little too emotional foe me so I skimmed it a little but then I thought it got really good with a big cliffy at the end. Can’t wait for the next book to come out. I have so many on my list that I am waiting for I am not sure what to do. On my to read list I have Claim Me and will probably try Real based on all the positive reviews.

Heya, I haven’t posted for a couple of weeks and have read lots of course. At the moment I’m re=reading the This Man books for the 4th time cos I just miss Jesse 🙂
Like lots of others I read Walking Disaster and loved reading the Travis POV. I read Date Me by Jillian Dodd cos I’m kinda addicted to her books and loved it.
Finally read The Proposition by Katie Ashley after The Proposal first by mistake and was able to fill in the gaps a bit more.
Also enjoyed Wallbanger by Alice Clayton, Second Chance Boyfriend by Monica Murphy, Easy by Tammara Webber – lots of hype about this book and although I enjoyed it, didn’t blow me away.
I enjoyed Metamorphosis by Erin Noelle and The Bet by Rachel Van Dyken. And then I read Poughkeepise by Debra Anastasia, a really unique story that I enjoyed although I thought there was a bit too much drama in the second half of the book.
This week has been very smexy so far, starting with Touch Me by Olivia Cunning. I’m a big fan of her books, best read with chocolate, wine and your vibrator – yep her books are hot 🙂 And then I read Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines where we get more of Woods Kerrington from the Too Far series, finished this at 3.00am yesterday and loved it.
Tonight will be all about Riff in Rock My Bed by Michelle Valentine so my smexy week continues.
