I haven’t gotten a clear picture of Christan in my mind just the “edge” of the form I can see his body in the suit and the outline of him in different passage. That said this person IS defiantly NOT what I picture!

Actually, I’ve thought of copper haired, gray eyed,Eddie Redmayne for the role. He might need to beef up a bit but he’s a good actor and could pull it off. Look out for him in Les Miserables.
You won’t have seen him play the lead in Birdsong but when I watched it, I could clearly see him as CG. I’m very dubious about the movie. I know they are going for an R rating and I’m sure the result will be watered down.

No way. The only report I can find in The Sun about this possibility floats his name because E L James has ruled out Robert Pattinson. The actor might be interested, but no way is he suitable. It’s just more hysteria.

Actually it’s all over the Internet and he does seem to be the front runner at the moment. They really need to get a move on with the film if they plan on a 2013 release date.

All over the Internet? There are hundreds of reports based on a single piece of speculation in the Sun newspaper, probably one of the most unreliable tabloids in the Western world. I really wouldn’t worry about it. E L James has been scrupulous about not dropping hints about casting. She knows they’ll never get a decent director interested if they pre-cast the movie. And I think the chances of a 2013 release are almost nil at this point – no director, no cast, no final script. Time is flying.

eddie redmayne is a great actor and i like him but he’s not christian grey. i can’t see it even with my eyes closed. i always picture henry cavill or rob pattinson!

PLEASE NOOOOO!!!! He is SOOOOO NOT what I (or most women) would picture as Christian! I have to say if he is cast I would skip the movie all together…. There are SOOOO many other great choices..THIS GUY IS NOT! Sorry just had to make my opinion known.. like it matters.

I haven’t found the actor yet who could play CG. I’ve got a quite clear picture in my head, and this guy in my head has got copper hair and grey eyes. And as most of the actors out there are either blond or dark haired, they are out of question (although I like Alexander Skarsgard very much). Eddie Redmayne surely has got the right hair colour and good acting skills, but he doesn’t have the face I immagine and his eyes are green, as far as I can see.
Only once in my life, I saw dark grey eyes without a trace of any other colour, and these eyes hypnotised me, I remember them even now even though I met that guy about 18 years ago as I was a teenager. I’m looking for this kind of eyes for “my” CG. (Maybe coloured contact lenses will have to do the magic work.)

Yay to Alexander Skarsgard – Can not see how peeps can rave over Robert Pattinson he gives me the heeby jeebies (sorry RP fans) Matt Bomer has the look that I think a lot of peeps think of but AS is top of my list 😉

I don’t think we should get hung up on the age of the possible candidates. Many, Alexander S and Matt Bomer for instance,are in their mid thirties. I also doubt that the actress who plays Ana will actually be 21. Whoever gets the job will need to actually be able to act, anything else can be sorted out with good lighting and camera work.

Oh my …. he is soooo NOT Christian Grey, only if he plays the 15 year old, but NO !!! Everyone has his/her own image of CG, for me it’s either Christian Bale (but sadly he’s to old for the role) or Henry Cavill. I really hope this is only another duck from The Sun.

No way – looks too much like a teenager – no sex appeal at all!! Wouldn’t even waste my money to see the movie if he’s cast. Christian Grey is suppose to be a god of a man – we need Ian Somerhalder or Henry Cavill. Hair color is easy to change – give either of them copper highlights.
