Between the covers book club

Hello there, lovely ladies đŸ€—

Can you believe that we are already halfway through the year? Isn’t it crazy how quickly time melts away? 😝

I have no tidbits to report this week but I had a cool fan-made edit for Freed pop up in my YouTube feed this week:

You’ve gotta’ hand it to these girls. They’re pretty creative. đŸ‘đŸ»

This week I read:

The Headmaster by Tiffany Reisz. I have yet to meet a book from this talented lady that I didn’t like, and this was no exception. It was published in 2014 so I’m not sure how I managed to miss it for so long. It has a little bit of everything plus a nice twist. What more can a girl want?

Currently I’m reading:

Raw Need by Cherrie Lynn, book 2 in the Larson Brothers series. I loved the first one, so I’m optimistic.

With the advent of the seventh month, Goodreads reveals what we can expect to read by our fav authors:

Definitely some yummy things to look forward to. These screengrabs are taken from the Goodreads site.

This made me smile….

Hope it does the same for you. 😉

Have a beautiful week, girls.

Hi Mon and ladies, hope all is good in your part of the world.
I didn’t read anything in our genre last week, nothing taking my fancy at all. I will have a look at The Headmaster and let you know what I think.
    Have a great week

Hi Katherine. đŸ€— Was the book(s) that you read out of genre any good? I enjoyed The Headmaster. Not your average school story read. I think you’d enjoy it. It’s not very epic or too deep. A good, all round stand alone. Have a lovely week, lovely lady. May you be blessed with a deluge of magnificent books this week! 😘

So hopefully this comment doesn’t appear twice not to sure what’s going on but when I try to post my comment the site is crashing on me.
I read The Bone Bed by Patricia Cornwell and one Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz, both fabulous.
One another note I got my tickets for Harry Potter world, I know Florida is a while away but so excited for that so on my 30th wedding anniversary I will be riding the Hogwarts Express hopefully whilst riding hubby at the same time 😁😁 yeah that’s one fantasy I really shouldn’t say out loud lol x

LOL! Nope, your comment arrived safely as one. Phew! 😂 Glad you had some good reads albeit out of the genre. What is a girl to do without a good book? 🌾
Oohhh, Harry Potter World? That sounds awesome! I’m sure my daughter would LOVE to do that. You’re going to have to share some pics, Katherine! But not of the train ride, please! Whahaha! Some magic is best left for the dark! 😂😂😉😉

Those fan-made trailers are really amazing. Some seriously good editing!
Glad you liked the Headmaster, Monique. I read it a couple of years back, it’s really more of a novella – but well worth reading, as are all things Tiffany!!
I read a book called, A Different Blue, by Amy Harmon. Thought it was erotic fiction, but it isn’t. And halfway through, I was happy it wasn’t headed that way. It is a seriously good read about a young American Indian girl that was abandoned as a toddler, and finds her way through life with the assistance of an excellent teacher. Love a book that teaches me something I didn’t know, and this book was that and more. It is a standalone bestseller, and thumbs up from me!
Also, got the fourth book in a series, A Night Prince by Jeaniene Frost. Paranormal romance w/Vlad, who to his eternal regret, was the inspiration for the Dracula legend. Hot, hot, hot. That vamp KNOWS what it takes to please a woman! The first book of the series is one of my all-time favorites, and one that I go back to when I just want to enjoy some favorite moments. (Did I remember to say Hot?!) Liked books 2 & 3, but they did get a mite gruesome, no surprise. Loved book four, and it was a good one to end the series, though off-shoots will continue for other characters. Happy Independence Day to our US ladies!! Hope some good fireworks are coming your way!!

In remote village in Albania hiking huge peaks. Likely today was last hike like this of my life. Didn’t feel totally stable descending 1000m on dangerous less than one meter gravely path with steep drop off.

But writing because our mountain guide and host totally rocks a JD presentation with full beard. Keep thinking…no, can’t be. Very very distracting.😃😃😃

Finished second Sinners book. Of course amazing

Wow Lissa. I feel honoured that you’re writing us from there. Hope it’s as beautiful as I imagine. Sounds like a pretty serious hike, though. Stay safe. Luckily you seem to have some eye candy. That’s fun, right? Have an amazing time. There’s something deeply satisfying, almost spiritual about overcoming a difficult obstacle and your hike sounds like just the ticket for those “I can conquer all things” endorphins! Have a wonderful time, girlfriend 😘
