Between the covers book club

Hello lovely ladies 😉

Gotta’ love the approach of summer here in the Southern hemisphere! Personally, I can’t wait 🙂 On top of that I had an awesome reading week!

bc

This week I read:

T  play

Tyler by Jo Raven was intense! A little dark but I loved this well-written little gem. I just adore finding a new author that I enjoy and then bask in the delicious luxury of having a whole slew of her books to look forward to! I’m going to give this one my Best of the Best award!

Play by Kylie Scott was a fantastic surprise. I certainly enjoyed book one in the Stage Dive series but this one, book two, was fantastic! I LOVE Mal. He’s definitely my new book boyfriend. He was funny, infuriating, arrogant and, of course, a hot tattooed drummer! LOL! Another Best of the Best from me!

Currently I’m reading:

lead

Lead by Kylie Scott, book three in the Stage Dive series.

I’ve not decided on my next read. I think I might be going with the bikers next…. 😉

Kereny is on the ball with the Spanish translation of Meander and have sent me chapter 37 to post. Find it in the sidebar for your reading pleasure 😉

Then, I found this…. FSOG Smarties or M&Ms….

FSOG smarties

And why not? If we can have ice-cream and wine, why not choccies, right? LOL!

Safety first! Whahahaha!

I hope you have a beautiful week, girls and I look forward to hearing from you!

I read “Interview With A Master” by Jason Luke. Very different from the typical D/s books, and the book follows a very experienced Master giving a series of interviews for a newspaper. The book is very explicit, but didn’t really make my heart flutter big time because everything was discussed very dispassionately. And one thing he likes to utilize is the “fear of discovery”, and I understand that is a turn on for some, but never, ever has been for me. I like to feel completely secure so that my focus is only on the intimacy. That said, sections of the interview are SO incredibly insightful that it absolutely stunned me!!!! Seriously. This man has an amazing understanding of female sexuality. I thought this was a stand alone book, and prepared to commit seppuku at the ending…but was very happy to find book 2 “In Love With A Master”, which I am about midway through. (Worth reading about his oral sex skills alone!) You could put together an instruction book from this interview, and it should be required reading for all men and women. And I think many would appreciate the guidance. So YES, this book is not a typical love story, and the couple is not my new favorite book couple…..but Holy Smokes…this man has made an art form out of the study of women. And don’t we wish all men did? Read it.

Oh Monique you wouldn’t be looking forward to summer if you lived in my part of the world lol apart from about 10 days it isn’t much different than winter except no snow lol though that wouldn’t surprise me if I woke to that one morning
I didn’t read anything last week at all just nothing getting me excited but I have purchased Tyler after your recommendation so I’ll read that and review next week.
    Have a good one!

Read Lead… Loved it and am reading Play on your recommendation. I trailed off and read Steele &Lace and while the author had great starts to her characters I found I knew nothing more about them at the end then I had from the beginning. It was a shame cause I could imagine so many things… None of them happened.
I gave in and am also starting One Night Promised… I am leary but open to see where it takes me. Would really love another Jesse Ward or Gideon Cross about now !! Take care.

Oh no! Don’t you just hate it when you get into a crappy book? Life is too short, my friend! LOL! What did you think of One Night Promised. I’ve had very little feedback and I, like you, sooooo loved Jesse but I’m still miffed about her latest creation! 😛

You know what I just cannot stand… You buy a book and its ony 59 pages!! Then you have to buy the next 4 to get another 59 pages each… Each time spending $3.99. I know I am the dumb one for buying them but really does an author have to do that to people who potenially would be her supporters. Man that urks me.
